Policies
Enrollment
Students may begin lessons at any time
during the calendar year. Lessons are on a month by month basis.
Scheduling
I schedule lessons on Mondays thru
Fridays from 4:30PM to 8:00PM and Saturdays from 10:00AM to 4:00PM.
I do not teach lessons on Sundays. If a student must withdraw, I
must receive a 2-week notice before the next month so I can assign
the lesson time to another student. If I do not receive this notice,
the student is obligated to pay for the following month.
Prices
Private music instruction is a
flat-rate of $80/month for four (4) weekly 30-minute lessons and
$125/month for four (4) weekly 1-hour lessons. Based on a 48-week
average, I will take four weeks out of each year for
personal/vacation time of which you will be notified of well in
advance. These vacations will usually overlap with some of the
holidays listed above.
Payments
Please pay by the 1st of each month. A
$10 late fee will be charged on the 10th of the month. $20 returned
check fee.
Make-Up Lessons
Students who wish to cancel a single
lesson must inform me by phone 12 hours before the lesson. I will do
my best to schedule a make-up lesson.
Inclement Weather
In case of bad weather, I follow the
school closings in Tulsa County. Students may call or email to
confirm or cancel their lessons. In cases of hazardous roads in
other areas I will cancel the lesson and issue a make-up.
Holidays
I will not be teaching on the following
holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving, and Christmas. If a lesson falls on a holiday I can
reschedule that lesson or prorate the monthly dues to suit your
needs.
Materials
Books will be purchased by the parent
and are not included in the monthly rate. They can be purchased
through me or can be ordered from music stores or sites on the
internet. I will supply a list of the books I use in my lessons.
If the student has a certain book or area of study they are
interested in I will accommodate them.
